B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture

Course Duration: 4 years

The foundation course in Agriculture is infused with hands-on training at our agricultural field. This base course lays a strong foundation in expanding your knowledge with well trained farm scientist to meet productive food demands.

Admission Criteria

The candidates should have passed all the subjects under ACADEMIC STREAM of the qualifying examination with 10+2 years of schooling under Board of Higher Secondary / CBSE/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examinations / international boards recognized (attach proof of recognition) are eligible to apply.

Eligible subjects of study in the qualifying examination

Group 1 - Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Group 2 - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and fourth subject either biochemistry or Home science or Biotechnology or Microbiology

Group 2A - Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology

This college is affiliated (TN GO (MS) no. 90) to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore which is the No.1 State Agricultural University in India and also a leading agrotechnology provider of India and its graduates are recognized throughout the world. The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906. The University is offering Thirteen Undergraduate Degree Programs, Forty Graduate Degree Programs and Twenty six Doctoral Programs in 14 Colleges distributed in 11 campuses all over Tamil Nadu. TNAU has 36 Research Centers for agrotechnology development and 14 Farm Science Centers for outreach.

Presently Prof. Dr. Geethalakshmi Vellingiri is the 14th Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. She assumed the post on November 16, 2021.
